I am mesmerized and intrigued by the power of belief and faith. Nothing short of a miracle, I was able to witness a Maha Kumbha Mela in 2001. Yes, it happens once every 144 years. I was (happily) trapped by the human currents moving in slow yet uncontrollable motions. I eyed the anguished faces with my camera, while being strapped onto a wooden pole with my belt. Where my eyes could reach, I only saw pilgrims. I could only imagine how this human magma would look from space…
